Bullet Time! by Eddie Alcazar is remarkable. It is completely unhinged, unbelievably detailed, spectacularly retro, and drop-dead gorgeous. Every frame is incredible. I can’t stop looking at it. Even though nothing happens, everything is happening. I don’t know how I missed this.
The style, the animation, the music (Danny Elfman!), the sound effects, the aberration, the grain, the shadows on the cels. It is totally awesome.
I have no idea if this will be picked up as a series, or if it was even intended to exist for more than just one episode, but I would watch this show for the rest of my life if the people involved could keep this up. It must be terribly exhausting to create just 9 minutes of this animation.
