When I moved to Japan,「紫陽花」(Ajisai) hydrangeas were in bloom. Hydrangeas are my favorite flower, and I love the color variance in them. The shape of them. Everything.
Obviously, I never had a Japanese family crest, but since I started drawing them for Junior hanafuda, I wanted one for myself. So I thought—why not a hydrangea?
